Representatives of the Association The Garden of Peace – TGoP (https://lnkd.in/d-pkva4b) and the Andrea Bocelli Foundation -ABF (https://lnkd.in/dNmHNxyS) met to verify the possibility of a collaboration through which a Garden of Peace could be created in one of the structures reformed by the ABF after the 2016 earthquake that did so much damage in the Marche region.

Common goals
The Andrea Bocelli Foundation was set up to help people in difficulty due to illness, poverty and social marginalisation, through the promotion and support of national and international humanitarian projects that encourage the overcoming of such barriers and the full expression of everyone’s potential. These noble objectives that the ABF Foundation aims to achieve are perfectly in line with those of the TGOP, where the message of peace, tolerance and cooperation carries the hope of a better world.

A Peace Garden at the Academy of Music
The meeting took place in Florence at the headquarters of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation. One of the objectives of the meeting was to identify a suitable place to plant the Garden of Peace.
The Camerino Music Academy, restored by the ABF, was chosen as the site for the future Garden of Peace. There can be no better home for a strong message of peace than the place where future musicians express their talent: peace and melody, a simply wonderful combination.

The Paciano donation
The 21 varieties of olive trees from 21 countries that will be planted in the Peace Garden of the Academy of Music were donated by the municipality of Paciano (Italy), home of the first Peace Garden. These plants come from the World Olive Germplasm Bank in Córdoba (Spain).
