30 Jul The Alhambra Joins the Network of The Gardens of Peace
By Francesco Serafini and Oriano Spadoni
It is with great satisfaction that I announce the recognition of the Olive Garden of the Alhambra as a Garden of Peace by the Association TGoP, (www.thegardenofpeace.org) of which I have the honor of being the president. This garden now fully joins the global network of Gardens of Peace that the association is implementing in various countries around the world. The aim is to create and recognize symbolic gardens in places of great historical and cultural significance.
The Olive Garden of the Alhambra now symbolically embraces the other gardens created by the association, which include emblematic green spaces in various parts of the world composed of 21 varieties of olive trees originating from 21 countries. This gesture further emphasizes the importance of peace and cultural cooperation, inviting visitors to reflect on the universal values of harmony and mutual respect.
The Alhambra, with its extraordinary beauty and history of cultural coexistence, perfectly represents the principles that The Garden of Peace seeks to promote. The recognition of the Olive Garden as a Garden of Peace adds an additional element of prestige and significance to this already exceptional monument. We invite everyone to visit this unique place and reflect on the values of peace and cooperation it embodies.
