About The Garden of Peace Association

The Garden of Peace is an international non-profit organization dedicated to promoting peace and international cooperation through the creation of olive gardens in various parts of the world. These gardens symbolize unity and hope, with each tree serving as a living testament to our commitment. Significant gardens have been established in Madrid, Zaragoza, Camerino at the Music Academy of Maestro Andrea Bocelli, Tangier (Morocco), and Crete. Currently, new gardens are being developed in the Valley of the Temples in Sicily, Cyprus, and the Alhambra in Granada.

The Peace Gardens implemented by the association consist of 21 different varieties of olive trees from 21 Mediterranean countries and beyond. These plants come from the World Olive Germplasm Banks located in various parts of the world, created and recognized by the International Olive Council (IOC). The IOC is an intergovernmental organization founded under the auspices of the United Nations, which, through the RESGEN project on the conservation of olive genetic resources, has recovered the genetic variability of this species (Olea europaea).

During the evening, we will have the opportunity to present our association, our goals, and our commitment to spreading a message of global peace. Additionally, a project by our partner association “Friends for Malawi” will be presented. Dr. Cinzia Fanfano, a pediatrician, will explain the aims and objectives of this project.
