Toronto International Peace Festival: inauguration, donation of the Garden of Peace and award ceremony
From September 21 to 27, 2025, Toronto hosted the International Peace Festival (IPF), a week of events dedicated to peace through art, cinema, and music. The Opening Ceremony took place at Toronto City Hall, with the inauguration of the Garden of Peace in the Rotunda on the afternoon of September 21.
As part of the IPF, The Garden of Peace (TGoP) presented and symbolically donated to the City of Toronto a Garden of Peace, as a permanent invitation to dialogue and reconciliation. The initiative was officially introduced during the festival’s activities at Toronto City Hall.
During the Peace Ambassadors Awards Gala on September 26, the President and Founder of TGoP, Francesco Serafini, received the IPA | AIP Community Leadership Award 2025, in recognition of the association’s commitment to promoting peace and social cohesion.
The International Peace Festival is held under the umbrella of the International Peace Alliance (IPA | AIP), an organization that celebrates the United Nations International Day of Peace and is a UN ECOSOC Member Organization.
